Get ready for an exciting announcement, Longhorn Nation!
Texas Football is back in action!
Athletic Director Chris Del Conte has revealed an action-packed weekend for Texas fans. Mark your calendars for April 18th, 2026, as the Longhorns will host a highly anticipated Spring Game and Fan Day. But here's where it gets interesting...
Del Conte has combined these two events, creating a unique and thrilling experience for fans. Imagine witnessing the future stars of Texas Football, incoming transfers, and returning veterans all in one day!
However, Del Conte admits that the details of the scrimmage are still being ironed out. After a lunch conversation with head coach Steve Sarkisian, they decided to "give it a go!"
This decision comes after Texas opted out of a spring game in 2025 due to the transfer window. Now, the 2026 team will have their moment to shine and showcase their talent to the passionate Longhorn fan base.
The last spring game, held on April 20th, 2024, gave fans a glimpse of future stars like Arch Manning, who threw for an impressive 255 yards and two touchdowns. Now, Manning and other returning players will have the chance to return to the iconic Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and continue their legacy.
While specific timings for Fan Day and the game are yet to be announced, one thing is certain: this event will be a celebration of Texas Football and its dedicated fans.
